Jugador estadounidense de fútbol americano. Medía 1,96 m (6 pies 5 pulg.), pesaba 113 kg (250 lb) y podía correr las 100 yd en 9,7 s. Una de sus jugadas más notables consistía en atajar al mariscal de campo rival detrás de la línea de inicio. Como defensa de Los Angeles Rams (1961–71) fue considerado uno de los mejores jugadores defensivos y nombrado All-NFL (jugador de gran clase de la NFL) seis veces seguidas (1965–70). Después jugó en los San Diego Chargers (1972–73) y los Washington Redskins (1974).
